Common questions about ShipAs dry van freight, service areas, quote details, and cross-border shipments.
Not sure if your shipment fits? This page covers the basics. If you still have questions, send the load details and we’ll give you a straight answer.
What kind of freight does ShipAs move?
ShipAs focuses on commercial dry van freight, from smaller skid shipments to full truckload moves.
Where does ShipAs run?
Our core service area includes the GTA, Southern Ontario, Buffalo, Rochester, and Western NY.
Do you handle cross-border freight?
Yes. We support Canada–U.S. dry van freight between Ontario and Western New York.
Do you do temperature-controlled freight?
No. ShipAs is dry van focused.
Do you handle LTL or partial shipments?
Yes. We handle smaller dry van shipments when they fit our lane, equipment, and schedule. A few skids can still need proper timing and communication.
Do you handle full truckload freight?
Yes. We handle dedicated dry van truckload freight across our core lanes.
What equipment do you use?
ShipAs focuses on dry van tractor-trailer freight. We are not a refrigerated, flatbed, open-deck, or specialized equipment carrier.
Can you move one skid?
Yes, if it fits the lane and timing. One skid is often a good fit when it is commercial, palletized, and moving within our service area.
Do you handle hand-bomb freight?
Not as a standard service. Loose hand-bomb freight needs to be confirmed before quoting.
Do you handle dangerous goods?
Only if specifically reviewed and confirmed first. Do not assume dangerous goods are accepted.
What is your main service area?
Our core area is the GTA, Southern Ontario, Buffalo, Rochester, and Western NY.
Do you service Niagara?
Yes. Niagara, Hamilton, Fort Erie, and the surrounding corridor are important parts of our Ontario–Western NY lane.
Do you run Toronto to Buffalo?
Yes. GTA ⇄ Buffalo / Western NY is one of our core dry van lanes.
Do you run to Rochester?
Yes, when the freight, timing, and equipment fit.
What if my city is not listed?
Send the details. If it is near our lane or connects to our core area, we’ll review it.
What do you need for a cross-border quote?
We need pickup, delivery, freight details, timing, customs broker, direction of travel, and PARS or PAPS information if available.
What is a PARS?
PARS is commonly used for freight entering Canada. It helps connect the carrier, broker, and shipment before the truck reaches the border.
What is a PAPS?
PARS is commonly used for freight entering Canada. It helps connect the carrier, broker, and shipment before the truck reaches the border.
Do I need the customs paperwork ready before asking for a quote?
No. You can ask for a quote first, the paperwork and broker details need to be arranged before the shipment moves.
Can you help if the broker details are missing?
We can review the load, but we do not like guessing at the border. Missing broker or paperwork details should be solved before dispatch.
What should I send for a quote?
Send pickup city, delivery city, pickup date, delivery date, skid count, weight, freight description, timing, and any special notes.
How fast can you quote?
If the details are complete and the load fits our lane, we can usually review it quickly. Missing details slow things down.
Do you need exact addresses?
City and company name may be enough for an initial review, but exact addresses help quote more accurately.
Can you do same-day or next-day freight?
Sometimes. Same-day and next-day dry van freight may fit, especially on short local, regional, or Ontario–Western NY lanes.
What happens if the load is not a fit?
We’ll tell you clearly. No mystery. No pretending.
